A bookcase can be a fabulous place to display treasured collectors items, or cherished books. It can be placed into your home for functionality, dramatic flare, or even to divide rooms, it all depends upon your intent and the selection you make of the bookcase itself. But, no matter what the reason you have for the placement of a bookcase within your home design, you need to be aware of that motivation before you make a purchase.
Then once you have established your intentions, be conscious of keeping the shelves organized, and clutter free. When you start to haphazardly place objects upon your shelves you diminish the potential visual impact that lies beneath.
